About John Polstein
After graduating from Amherst College, John Polstein worked in the media and entertainment industries before a career switch to education where he was the long-standing CEO of Kaplan Test Prep. He retired in 2021 to pursue writing full-time and recently completed The Advanced Novel Workshop at the Sarah Lawrence Writing Institute where his debut novel, The Near Fall, was selected for inclusion in the Institute’s Summer Reading Showcase. John is a skilled public speaker and avid puzzler. He splits his time between homes in Hastings, New York and Nobleboro, Maine.
